Rob has been an IOM for over 40 years and a member of the Board of Management since 2002. Rob was instrumental in establishing our successful strategic consulting division, the set-up of IOM’s SAFENANO business in 2006 and opening IOM’s first overseas business in Singapore. He assumed the role of CEO in November 2016.

His passion is providing treatment and preventive education for musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace. Dr. Hatch and his team travel Europe and North America teaching and expanding the On-Site corporate wellness model.

Dr. Hatch works with Universidade Europeia Lisbon, performing ongoing, post-doctorate research projects on the impact of MSDs in employee performance and wellbeing with a focus on improving productivity, decreasing presenteeism, employee job satisfaction and cost containment strategies for corporations and governments.
Dr Ioannis Basinas is a senior scientist in the exposure science section of the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) in Edinburgh, UK. His research activities focus primarily on the assessment of human exposure to dangerous substances including bio-aerosols, inorganic dusts, pesticides, nanomaterials and other chemical agents both in support of regulatory and epidemiological research. He has a substantial experience on the assessment of exposure to organic dusts and the related health risks particularly among agricultural working populations and a strong interest on the use of statistical modelling as a method for improving quantitative exposure and risk assessment and populations. Current activities, among others, include research aiming to characterise levels of exposure to pesticide in workplaces, the improvement of methodologies available for pesticide exposure in occupational epidemiological research, the exposure assessment for a study of cognitive impairment in former English professional footballers, and the evaluation of trends in exposure to dangerous substances at an EU level. Ioannis is a Master of Science in “Toxicology and environmental Health” from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands and a PhD in “Occupational epidemiology and Hygiene” from Aarhus University, Denmark.
